Praise as a response and reorientation towards Gods Glory

Grand Canyon
The truly joyful moments in life are the ones where you forget yourself the most.
When you behold the beauty of your spouse.
When you admire the majesty of nature.
When you give selflessly.
And it in this attitude that we worship God.
Not because he asks us to, not out of duty, but out of delight.
That we learn to forget ourselves and focus on him, and when we do so, we enter into complete joy.
But when we see something truly great, we also have another desire in or hearts. To share it with someone.
We want to share the moment of seeing the Grand Canyon, or witness history with others. To tell them about it, to talk about it, to abide in it, to replay it again and again.

To tell the world.
And to have the world share the same excitement as you.
So, when we forget ourselves, when we behold what is splendid, magnificent, glorious, we take great joy in it, and we make it our aim to share that joy with others.
Gods Glory is not opposed to our joy. In fact, it is one and the same.
And worshipping him is not a chore to check off as dutiful Christian on a Sunday morning.
It is the delight in who God is.
And sharing who God is with others is not harassing them.
It is the most loving thing you can do for them. To say to them βlook up from your limited view, see what you missing, there is a beautiful God out there to behold and enjoy.β
So if God self-centered? Is he Egotistical?
No. He is not.
His desire is for you to have the best.
Psalm 16:11: βIn Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.β
Until next time,
Be blessed,
Aaron,
